Specialist tree surgeons will visit your premises and conduct a full survey of the trees, producing a plan for the perfect work to be performed to enhance your garden. Tree surgeons will take into consideration factors like your light requirements for the property, the health of the trees, and any possible structural concerns that may present themselves if a tree is too near the existing buildings.

Tree surgery involves a wide variety of tasks. Simple pruning can be performed to enhance the appearance of trees and to prolong their lives by encouraging proper growth. The crown or branch system of a tree can be raised if it is drooping and blocking access or light, reduced to simply make the tree smaller, or thinned to allow considerably more light through. Pollarding or coppicing are types of pruning where the tree is cut back to the trunk to encourage new growth and protect the tree. Tree surgeons can also fell trees that are dangerous, unattractive or blocking light to properties. This felling can be performed either as a straight fell if the space allows, or as a section fell which can be used where there is restricted space to let the tree fall.

Expert tree surgeons will be able to perform maintenance or removal of trees in your garden to the highest standard while complying with health and safety regulations and standards for tree surgery work. With Protected Tree Orders and Conservation areas becoming more common, taking on a tree surgeon to carry out the mandatory work in compliance with these regulations and with British Standards for tree surgery is essential.
